Last Updated: July 12, 2026. This policy explains our copyright compliance standards and details how to submit a DMCA notice.
1. Respect for Intellectual Property
PWSGUIDE.com respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Site to do the same. Site content consists of independently authored material and information used from government or third-party sources under applicable public-domain status, license terms, permission, fair use, or attribution requirements. No third-party copyrighted material has knowingly been reproduced on this Site.
2. Filing a Copyright Infringement Notice
If you believe content on PWSGUIDE.com infringes a copyright you own or represent, you may submit a written notice to our designated DMCA Agent (below) that includes all of the following, as required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
- Identification of the specific material on the Site you claim is infringing, with enough detail (e.g., a URL) for us to locate it;
- Your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Notices missing any of the above may not be actioned.

4. Our Response to a Valid Notice
Upon receipt of a complete and valid notice, PWSGUIDE will:
- Remove or disable access to the identified material in a timely manner;
- Notify the user or content contributor responsible for the material, where applicable;
- Document the notice and our response for our records.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe material you posted or that identifies you was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our DMCA Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the material removed and its location on the Site before removal;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed material within the timeframe required by law unless the original complainant files a court action seeking a restraining order.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
PWSGUIDE reserves the right to terminate access for any user or contributor found to be a repeat infringer of third-party copyright rights.
7. Misrepresentation
Submitting a false or bad-faith copyright claim, or a false counter-notification, may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
8. No Affiliation Disclaimer
This policy, and the original-content statement above, does not constitute an admission that any specific third-party work exists, is similar to, or was reviewed against Site content. It is provided to establish PWSGUIDE's good-faith compliance process and independent authorship practices.
9. Contact for Non-DMCA Content Concerns
For content concerns that are not copyright-related (e.g., factual accuracy, business listing disputes), please use the general contact process described in our Terms of Use rather than this DMCA process.
